Frequently asked questions
Is the buyer responsible for any customs duties and import taxes?
Yes. Depending on what the policy is in your country, and the purchase price of your order, you may be required to pay customs duties and/or import taxes. Seller is not responsible for these fees or delays due to customs holds.
Do you include a printed receipt with shipped items?
I only include a printed receipt if it is required to be included for the country you live in or if your method of shipping requires it. You can find details about your purchase in your Etsy account.
How can I track my shipment?
All orders within The Netherlands are shipped via PostNL and include tracking.
All orders outside The Netherlands are shipped via Deutsche Post with tracking. Deutsche Post is the German postal service.
You will receive a shipping confirmation email from me via my shipping platform SendCloud when I've prepared your package. The tracking link will take you directly to the Deutsche Post page, which is in German. You can view your tracking data in your language via your Etsy account. Once your package has arrived in your country and has cleared customs, the tracking for your package will be visible via the website/app of your local postal service.
Where is my order? When will it arrive?
In my experience, mail delivery worldwide is very reliable. Now that all packages are tracked, the progress of your parcel may be followed. Please know that sometimes customs offices can be slow, and I don't have any access to information about the progress of your package while it's processing through customs.
Delays are always possible for all kinds of reasons. You are always welcome to contact me with questions about your package and I will do my absolute best to help. At the very least, we'll keep in contact until your package arrives.
Will I get a refund for my lost package?
Refunds can only be given for lost packages or returns if your item has been returned to me in its original condition.
Are there delays due to COVID-19?
Yes. There have been known and documented intermittent delays with shipping all over the world during the crisis.

I know. It's frustrating to be kept waiting! It's frustrating for me, too, as I am proud of the quality of my products & service and I want you to receive your items as quickly as possible. I promise to stick with you and ensure that you receive the items you've ordered.
These extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures, and I ask for your patience and flexibility. If you are concerned, please reach out. I comply with Etsy's window for refunds, which is 180 days from the date your payment was processed, so you don't have to worry that by continuing to wait, you'll forego your right to ask for a refund if your order is truly lost in the mail.
Why is Etsy asking me to review my items before I've received them?
I know it can be aggravating to receive a prompt to review your item(s) when you haven't yet received them. Etsy's system will automatically prompt you to do so at the end of the estimated delivery timeframe, whether or not you've received your order. Sometimes delays can happen, resulting in packages arriving past that estimated date. Reviews are highly valuable, and serve to not only inform your consumer peers of your experience with the quality of products and service I provide, but they also inform Etsy of the same information. I do my best to prepare and post your order carefully and expeditiously, and am always here to help and support you.

Why is my tracking information in German?
Packages are shipped from my studio in The Netherlands via the Deutsche Post, which is the German postal service. I've found it to be the most efficient and lowest-cost option for international mail and small parcels. The tracking link provided to you will take you to the Deustche Post website, but you can also paste your tracking info into the website of your local postal system. Once your package passes through customs in your country, you'll be able to follow the progress of your order all the way to your doorstep.
